GodWhy Gives Back

Napier Teacher Adoption Program

What in the World Are We Doing?

We announced our project to adopt and empower the six first grade teachers at Napier Elementary School who's students are mainly from the Napier low income housing in Downtown Nashville. We know one of the main ways to empower people to break out of poverty is education. We want this first grade class to have the resources needed to truly impact them in a meaningful way. It is vital for a child to know that people do care and believe in them and that they know this church cared enough about them to make this possible.

This coming Sunday we will have an opportunity to make a special donation toward the needs list below.
(you can also donate online at Godwhy.com)

We have an opportunity as grateful people to act in a grateful manner.

Napier’s Teachers List Of Needed Items
School Uniforms (Khaki, Black or Navy Pants and polo style shirts)
Projectors & AV carts
Book sets for level readers
Video Cam Recorder
Almo LCD projector
Clocks
Electric Pencil Sharpeners
Educational DVD’S
Money to take more field trips- Farm, Zoo, Cheekwood, Children’s Theater, and the Planetarium

Don't miss this opportunity to be part of GodWhy Gives Back. As we get progress reports the remainder of the year you will know you had a part in making it happen.

Today, PF has grown beyond mere Bible studies in prison and has branched out to working with the families of prisoners and to inmates as they return to the community. So, whether you have a desire to work with inmates “on the inside”, with the forgotten victims (children and families of the incarcerated), or with men and women as they return to our communities, there are plenty of volunteer opportunities.
