THE THIRD OPTION Marriage Counseling Tuesday nights at NE

Do you have a heart for helping marriages?

We need couples who have survived their own marital struggles, to help other married couples who are currently in need of encouragement. Your marriage does NOT need to be perfect to do this. The Third Option is an ongoing, 14 week marriage skills program that uses mentor couples to encourage the married couples going through the program.

The Third Option classes will be on Tuesday evening, September 16th and continue through the 14 week curriculum to December 16th. Times: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

If you would like to be a part of this exciting new program, please contact Mae Chambers.
mae@101savedmarriages.com or call 414-4466 (cell)

Room In the Inn (RITI)

Do you have a heart for serving the homeless? We are currently in the process of evaluating the possibility of bringing "Room In the Inn" to Northeast. Room in the Inn (RITI) is a ministry that provides food and shelter for homeless people each night during the months of November through March. 150 Nashville area congregations participate in this wonderful ministry. We are trying to get an idea about how many people would be willing to help in this ministry and what night (and the following early morning) would be best for our congregation.

How can you help? Some of the volunteer opportunities include setting up, cooking dinner and breakfast, eating/praying/talking with the participants, making bagged lunches, staying overnight, cleaning up, driving participants to and from the church and doing the laundry. If you would be willing to participate in bringing the RITI ministry to NE, or would like further information, please contact Tish Meshew at 826-0151 or email at tish_meshew@chs.net.
