OUR FAITH STATEMENT
What We Believe
In Essential Beliefs - We Have Unity.
"There is one body and one Spirit . . . there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all..." Ephesians 4:4-6
In Non-Essential Beliefs - We Have Liberty.
"Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters... Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls... So then each of us will give an account of himself to God... So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God." Romans 14:1,4,12,22
In All Our Beliefs - We Show Charity.
THE ESSENTIALS WE BELIEVE
1. GOD - There is one God eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:32-53, I Corinthians 12:4-6, II Corinthians 13:14, I Peter 1:2)
2. JESUS CHRIST - We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless resurrection, in His ascension and intercession for the saints and in His personal physical return to this earth in power and glory to establish the new Heaven and new earth. (Isaiah 9 6; Matthew 1:22, 23; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3,4; I Corinthians 15:3,4; I Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 4:14,15)
3. HOLY SPIRIT - The Holy Spirit has been sent by the Heavenly Father God as the agent of comfort, inner witness of one's adoption as God's child and source of spiritual empowering for believers to do the work of Christ in the world. (John 14, 15, 16; Acts 1:8)
4. SALVATION - The only means of salvation is through confession of sinfulness; having faith in Christ's atoning death as the Son of God providing justification (pardon) from sin and a confession of Jesus Christ as Lord over our life. When we turn from our self-ruled lives toward Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (John 14:6, 1:12; Romans 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5)
5. BIBLE - The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the Christians' infallible guide to matters of faith and doctrine. (Isaiah 8:16-20, Jeremiah 36, II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:19-21)
6. CHURCH - There is one Church made up of everyone who has confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (1 Corinthians 12:24-27)
7. HEALING - Jesus Christ has provided, through the Holy Spirit, the gifts of healing spiritually, emotionally and physically. (Isaiah 53, Matthew 10, I Corinthians 12, James 5). The anointing of oil and prayer for healing is a scriptural practice for the Church today. (James 5:14)
8. SECOND COMING - We anticipate the second coming of Christ and the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the former to an eternal dwelling place with God and the latter to eternal separation from God's presence. (Matthew 25:31-46)
